Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit of an employee's salary or wages is mandatory. 

The Â鶹ҹÊÐ is pleased to offer Direct Deposit as an added convenience to employees  Direct Deposit means no more trips to the bank, no loss or stolen checks and no interruption of pay due to employee absences or in the event of emergency University closures.  Pay Information can be viewed on.
 

The following is general information concerning the Direct Deposit Program:

  • All employees, including full-time faculty, and part-time faculty  are required to participate. Graduate Assistants are eligible and encouraged  to participate.
  • The financial institution (the bank the employees uses) must be participants in the ACH network.
  • Any cost involved with Direct Deposit will be absorbed by the University.
  • Funds will be deposited into the employee's bank account and will be available on the same day that the actual payroll checks would have been distributed.
  • A document, containing the information currently provided by the present check stub will be provided to Direct Deposit participants at the same time as non-participants are receiving their payroll checks.
  • Each participant in the Direct Deposit Program will have to sign and date the and provide a voided check or a copy of a voided check. The check is required so the proper bank codes and account number can be obtained. The form and check will have to be received by the Payroll Office at least five (5) days prior to the payroll date the Direct Deposit is to be implemented.
  • Direct Deposit will not be used for an employee's last payroll. A physical check will be issued for an employee's last check or termination pay.

A Direct Deposit Authorization Form may be obtained from Payroll in Martin Hall room 124C or from Human Resources in Martin Hall room 170. Forms are also available online.
